Hey, I’m Taylor.
I’m a Director, Creative Director, and a guy who loves making stuff with good people.
I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. There’s something pretty incredible about starting with an idea, a blank page, or a conversation and turning it into something that makes people laugh, feel something, or see the world a little differently.
That’s the part of filmmaking I love most. Finding the story worth telling and figuring out the best way to tell it.
My career started in the edit suite, which is probably why I still think like an editor when I’m directing. I love finding the little moments that make a story work. The look someone gives, the timing of a cut, the way music can completely change how a scene feels. All those little decisions add up to something bigger.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to wear a lot of different hats. Editor, Director of Post-Production, Head of Production, freelance Director and Creative Director. Each role taught me something different about filmmaking, but more importantly, about the people who make it happen.
These days, I’m the President and Executive Creative Director at REMEDY, where I get to work alongside a ridiculously talented group of people who care a whole lot about what they do.
It’s a pretty great gig.
But titles aside, I’m still happiest when we’re figuring something out together. Sitting around a table throwing out ideas. Finding that one little thing that makes a concept click. Being on set when everything comes together. Or sitting in an edit and watching a story finally find its rhythm.
I love the creative process. Even the messy parts.
And while I care deeply about making great work, I’ve learned that how we make it matters just as much as what we make.
I want the people I work with to feel heard, valued, and excited about what we’re creating. I believe you can have high standards without taking yourself too seriously. That the best ideas can come from anyone in the room. And that making something great should be an enjoyable experience.
Outside of filmmaking, I’m a husband, dad to two boys, and follower of Jesus. My faith and family are the most important parts of my life, and they shape a lot of how I see the world, the way I lead, and the kind of person I want to be.
I’m grateful I get to do something I love for a living. Even more grateful for the people I get to do it with.
So whether you’ve got a fully formed idea or just the beginning of one, I’d love to hear about it.
Let’s make something good.
